I met Luella few years ago, during her funky and wintertime engagement session. She and John got married in Vancouver and I was really excited to meet their first baby. Grey was born just couple of days before Christmas and I came to Luella’s home and took all those natural light captures just shortly after.. Photographing newborns is a peaceful experience, I really love to do it:) Sometimes is really unpredictable – Baby Grey was happy but really awake. We worked on making him sleep and finally he did. Don’t you love how sweet he looks? We are against photographing newborns with crazy or dangerous props so like you can see – most of those photos are just soft and natural. Yes, his father is a Canucks fan and asked me to photograph Grey with his favorite jersey. Grey pissed on the jersey like real, Calgary born boy;) We will see if he is going to be a Flames fan, but I would guess – yes! Stay tuned for some more baby pictures soon. We have so many amazing pregnant brides – lot’s of new babies coming.
